Company: RATP
Position: Preventive and corrective maintenance
To transport its close to 308 million annual passengers, the line A of the Francilian RER has two types of rolling-stocks: the MI09 (in 140 models) and the MI2N (in 49 models) whose maintenance is entirely carried by RATP.
My objective, within the Sucy-en-Brie maintenance center, was to take care of preventive and corrective maintenance of both rolling-stocks.
Preventive maintenance:
Monitor the wear of the various train systems;
Replace worn out consumables (brake pads, oils, lamps, doors, ...).
Corrective maintenance:
Detect the source of faults using electrical and pneumatic schemas as well as the internal predictive maintenance tool: SERVAL.
Replace faulty systems (bogies, couplers, HVAC, ...);
Verify if replaced systems are functional.
Additional responsibilities:
Design apparatus (measuring tools) supports for better organization of maintenance equipment;
Model, using the CAD software Fusion360, parts taking into account production constraint;
Study and compare the possible production methods on financial and practical standpoints to optimize costs and manufacturing times.
