Maintenance MI09/MI2N

To transport its close to 308 million annual passengers, the line A of the Francilian RER has two types of rolling-stocks: the MI09 (in 140 models) and the MI2N (in 49 models) whose maintenance is entirely carried by RATP. 

My objective, within the Sucy-en-Brie maintenance center, was to take care of preventive and corrective maintenance of both rolling-stocks.

Preventive maintenance:

• Monitor the wear of the various train systems;

• Replace worn out consumables (brake pads, oils, lamps, doors, ...).

Corrective maintenance:

• Detect the source of faults using electrical and pneumatic schemas as well as the internal predictive maintenance tool: SERVAL.

• Replace faulty systems (bogies, couplers, HVAC, ...);

• Verify if replaced systems are functional.

Additional responsibilities:

• Design apparatus (measuring tools) supports for better organization of maintenance equipment;

• Model, using the CAD software Fusion360, parts taking into account production constraint;

• Study and compare the possible production methods on financial and practical standpoints to optimize costs and manufacturing times.
