Summary
My CNC machine and my 3D printer are used in many projects for prototyping and production of complex parts. These machines are bulky and cannot fit in conventional shelves.
The objective was to create a functional and elegant cabinet from salvaged items (2 Lack tables from Ikea and 4 plexiglass sheets). This was achieved by modeling and printing parts, allowing a quick and reversible assembly to incorporate my machines.
In addition, by installing LEDs strips I have achieved better visibility on the prints. Moreover, the plexiglass sheets surrounding the 3D printer allows me greater flexibility in print materials, by keeping a higher local ambient temperature required by some materials such as ABS.
